Into the Future

À l'avenir...

Being able to communicate and to understand a second language can be very beneficial. In today's society, being able to speak a second language, especially French, it can open up so many doors. There are many parts of our province, Newfoundland and Labrador, our country, Canada, and also across the world that speak French. It provides many opportunities within travelling, employment and education. With the ability to speak to French it will offer a more enjoyable vacation especially if travelling to those parts of the world where French is the first language.  It offers great employment opportunities within the tourism industry, the government and the teaching profession. Also, there are many different opportunities out there for continuing one's studies within French.

As I have mentioned French is a very important and beneficial ability to acquire in today's world. I feel that if your child has an interest with French then it is very important for you as a parent to encourage them to continue their studies within the language.
